Meet the Speaker
Barbara van den Hoofdakker works as a clinical psychologist and professor at Accare Child Study Center and the department of Clinical Psychology and Experimental Psychopathology of the University of Groningen. Her research and clinical work focus on the treatment of children with behavioral difficulties, including children with ADHD.

It covers the evaluation of core ADHD symptoms according to DSM-5 and ICD-11 criteria, as well as associated difficulties such as executive dysfunction and emotional dysregulation. Meet the Speaker
Prof. Luis Augusto Rohde, MD, is Full Professor of Psychiatry at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and Director of the ADHD Outpatient Programme at Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre.
He is a former President of the World Federation of ADHD and served as President of the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions (IACAPAP) from 2022 to 2026. He also contributed to the development of the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for ADHD and disruptive disorders.
Prof. Rohde has published more than 500 scientific articles and has received several international honours, including the World Federation of ADHD Lifetime Achievement Award and the Ruane Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Research.
